I didn’t accept this verdict when it came out because I saw the court mess up jurisprudence with special rules for reaching a verdict. The prosecution did not prove its case to the jury, but let them go in blind to pick a crime, any crime. The said “intent to commit a crime” so no crime had to be proven. Thought crime was good enough. No unanimity on the crime that was voted for. It was an FEC violation, out of the jurisdiction of the NY county court. This verdict is dangerousness for our federal system. NYC is imposing this ruling on the entire USA, with the result that it will quite probably determine if our candidate can have equal protection under the law to run his campaign. The court has taken the franchise away from we the people, with the republic crushing our democracy, and the consent of the governed.

I am disgusted with the Republicans in Washington. Do they understand this could be one of them next. I agree with your statement about the AG's.

"In America, the rule of law is king. But where says some is the King of America? I’ll tell you Friend, he reigns above, and doth not make havoc of mankind like the Royal Brute of Britain. Yet that we may not appear to be defective even in earthly honors, let a day be solemnly set apart for proclaiming the charter; let it be brought forth placed on the divine law, the word of God; let a crown be placed thereon, by which the world may know, that so far as we approve of monarchy, that in America the law is king. For as in absolute governments the King is law, so in free countries the law ought to be King; and there ought to be no other. But lest any ill use should afterwards arise, let the crown at the conclusion of the ceremony be demolished, and scattered among the people whose right it is.". Thomas Paine, Common Sense.

Furthermore,

"Alas, we have been long led away by ancient prejudices and made large sacrifices to superstition. We have boasted the protection of Great Britain (American Government), without considering, that her motive was interest, not attachment. . ." Thomas Paine, Common Sense, (Parenthesis mine).

The king (the law) has been assassinated, and our adherence to it would be the same as to a corpse. The law offices of New York behave as villains to people such as Dexter Taylor, Daniel Penny, and Donald Trump, while citizens stand by in "respect" to the decisions of these courts. The law no longer protects people. It celebrates crime by overlooking its commission, and incriminates law abiding citizens. The king (the law) the emperor has no clothes. Yet we do not riot, we do not protest, we do not fight. The riots of activists have conditioned our minds to think that protests are reserved for lawless people, and we constrain ourselves against lawful protests for fear of appearing the same as them. Meanwhile, we sit as frogs in pots on the stove; we die unmoved while the fire increases. All that is needed for evil to succeed is for good men to do nothing. And that is what we do: nothing, while we wait for appeals in the same lawless system of "justice." The king (the law) is dead. And what is the whole duty of man? To do justice, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with our God. Micah 6:8

Dana, on today's program you mentioned a writer who disguised himself as black and went into black communities for research. In 1961 John Griffin wrote a book entitled "Black Like Me" in which he did the same thing so this guy wasn't the first. Griffin did come out alive. You said this writer was "shredded". Did you mean that literally or was he simply attacked verbally for this stunt?

I read that book when I was a kid. Racial inequality was intriguing to me.

What a travesty! So what happens now? Does Trump get jail or prison time? Can he appeal the conviction and sentencing? Does another republican step in to run against Slow Mo Joe? What about all of Biden’s illegal dealings? How much more can the American Citizens take with all this nonsense?

Ms. Dana…. I am also very torn. My feelings on retribution (through the courts) are very strong. A legal “punch in the mouth “ following a major election victory, would be the only way to teach these bastards any kind of lesson . Or would it ? You’re reasoning on tomorrow’s broadcast will be invaluable to me….

A week ago today I was in for a heart catheterization (checking for plugged arteries) and they cleaned out some "resin" from the 70's. Thank God I had that done or I'd be gasping like a carp laying on the river bank for 15 minutes after what took place today. We all had hope but stats show that most folks expected this outcome. I just need to distance myself from a few of my gloating lefty friends for a couple weeks.

It ain't over till it's over...

A civil war would insure the United States ceased to exist. No one who has seen the horror of battle truly wants to see that happen. In the first Civil War (which I call the War of Northern Aggression) cost over 600,000 lives and the political and social destruction has not been ended since. 160 years after the war there is still animosity between the North and the South. I am a Vietnam veteran, I don't want to be a War of Independence veteran
