I look forward to the sentencing document. Let's see: a narcissistic personality, a person who believes rules don't apply to him, someone who regularly violated gag rules designed to prevent influencing a jury or public opinion, someone who is unable to keep a marriage vow and compared his avoiding venereal disease to military service.

James - respectfully, none of those attributes have anything to do with his sentencing in this case, and you did not write a full thought here, so I'm not sure how to respond.

As for sentencing, the current speculation is that he will be given probation, maybe a hefty fine. possibly house arrest if Merchan is feeling frisky. But no chance he sees the inside of a jail cell.

Don't sentencings take the defendant's past and possible future actions, including likelihood of further offenses? Possibly victim impact statements?

Well Jimmy, if every politician was held to your high standards, based on their personality and and your opinions there wouldn't be enough court room in this country to tri them all. Hate him, make fun of him, degrade him until your last breath, this was the most embarrassing display of our judicial system we will ever see. Pray that you or a loved one never has to go to a court setting like what we...the world witnessed. It was obvious to everyone that has half a brain this would be the result of not just this trial, but the past almost 8 years of some of the most corrupt politicians, bureaucrats and judicial members that all had one thing in common. They all had something to hide and Trump was the only one that had the dared to expose them. It ain't over until the fat lady sings...

All the Democrats, Leftists, liberals, etc. want is power. They will do anything to get it and keep it. Today we learned they will go as far as convicting their political opponent. Sounds like a banana republic to me.

Witness: the assassination of juris prudence. The powers that be must well-consider the results. America is ripe for a Caesar.

I am too sad and depressed for a coherent comment. Suffice it to say the country will never be the same.

There is a local attorney whose ad reads "We will never back down". That is the way I feel right now. I have already starting seeing the "Trump is a felon" memes. As another meme points out we should remind the left at every opportunity that so was Lech Walesa, Alexander Solzhenitsyn, Nelson Mandela, Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luther King Jr. and Jesus Christ . Like these felons Former and Future President Trump is a political felon and his value to the country will only grow in the months to come.

This is a sad sad day for America. Doesn’t matter which side you are on. America has changed forever, and not for the good.

Considering the location, prosecution, judge, and jury, we could only hope for a miracle to get "not guilty". I was stunned when I read the headline, though. And I'm at a loss for further words . . .

Not surprised. The setting was ripe for this. What will be the repercussions? Time will tell.
