This is what the devil does. He gets you alone and take advantage of you. I feel for her but this is happening everyday unfortunately.

I feel for this mother because her baby's deformities are fatal; if born baby may not live very long at all. A good friend of mine's daughter became pregnant with her first child and she and her husband were excited, as was my friend as this was grandbaby #1. Well, the baby girl died in utero after 4-5 months due to a hole in her heart. However, the baby wasn't expelling from her womb, and her doctor (we live in TX) would not perform a D & C for fear of our abortion laws. It took two weeks and signs of sepsis before procedure was done. Mind you, baby was already dead. Me personally, as a believer in Jesus I agree with Texas' abortion laws, but in my friend's daughter's situation, and Mrs. Cox's situation, this needs to be addressed in the next legislative session.

Makes one wonder if your friends’ daughter’s doctor was trying to make a point. I am so glad she got through it and is doing well now.

Hate to say it, but that girl's doctor should be sued for malpractice. While the medical field may call it an abortion, the removal of a dead baby is NOT an abortion. by waiting till she went into sepsis, the doctor unnecessarily put his/her patient's life at risk and should face consequences. I've been through that personally. FWIW -- Texas law literally says that a procedure to remove a dead baby is NOT an abortion. -- https://statutes.capitol.texas.gov/Docs/HS/htm/HS.245.htm#245.002

"Sec. 245.002. DEFINITIONS. In this chapter:

(1) "Abortion" means the act of using or prescribing an instrument, a drug, a medicine, or any other substance, device, or means with the intent to cause the death of an unborn child of a woman known to be pregnant. The term does not include birth control devices or oral contraceptives. An act is not an abortion if the act is done with the intent to:

(A) save the life or preserve the health of an unborn child;

(B) remove a dead, unborn child whose death was caused by spontaneous abortion; or

(C) remove an ectopic pregnancy."

I think that's first time I read that portion of law; thanks for posting that! My friend and her daughter want law enforced so another woman doesn't have to go through what she did. Glad TX court saw through what abortion doctor and abortion group tried to pull. On a happy ending note, my friend's daughter is now due this Christmas Day with a healthy baby boy.
