Lorraine, you say: “As I said before, 80-90% of all cases have a clear genetic component.” How do you really know this ?

From the phrase repeated ad nauseum in your post “Autism is Not a disease!” and your thinly veiled angry tone, you clearly self-identify as autistic. Are you Level 1 or Level 2 autistic ?

Regardless, one possible means to slow the rate of autism propagation in the U.S. is mandatorily sterilization of all married autistic couples and also all Level 3 autistics. Optional sterilization of all Level 1 and Level 2 autistics would go a long way in slowing the spread of autism, until the better (more ethical) methods of preventing autism are discovered and implemented.

Tell me you didn't read my article without telling me you didn't read it.

"Once upon a time, I was considered an Aspie, the colloquial name for Asperger’s Syndrome. ...... According to the DSM-5, someone like me - ... - is a level 1."

Also - that statement is linked to my previous article, where I said the same thing and linked to the source - https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC5818813/#:~:text=Discussion,the%20genetic%20factors%20in%20ASD

Forced Sterilization is some actual Nazi stuff. Skinner V Oklahoma says it would be a violation of my 14th Amendment rights.

Interesting the one word RFK, Jr. did not say in his presser was “vaccine.” Now that’s a real lightening rod. Perhaps best to get an independent MD.’s thoughts.

Oh, and by the way you should look up the disctionary definition of “disease.” Disease: a disorder of structure or function in a human, animal, or plant, especially one that has a known cause and a distinctive group of symptoms, signs, or anatomical changes.

To a neurotypical such as myself, disease and a disorder can be used interchangeably.

I wrote at length about vaccines and the potential impact they may have in my last article on the topic - https://danaloesch.substack.com/p/rfk-jr-and-autism

I said then that we need an ethically done study that would examine the possiblity of vaccine injury, or vaccine effect on genetics across generations. However, we are not going to get that from RFK. He's got it in his head that genetics are a dead end. He's not looking for real answers, he's looking for information that will fit into the narrative he's created. That is the problem.

At least RFK, Jr. is shining a bright light on autism. What’s so wrong with that ? AutismSpeaks and it’s ilk do nothing to prevent autism. Early intervention does nothing to prevent autism. I don’t give a damn whether it’s termed a “disease” or not. During my lifetime in the U.S. it is empirically obvious that the incidence and rate of autism growth in our children’s population (regardless of falling on chart “Level 1,2. or 3”) is rapidly increasing. Our culture cannot sustain this increasing disability; it has to be arrested. If continued, the economic impairment and burden due to autism will be our nation’s downfall. We can forget all about future trade imbalances with China, political civil war, et.al. Our enemies will just be able to walk through our heavily autistic-impaired culture without any military conflict. (Our military force will be comprised by autistic officers and enlistments/recruits.). How quickly?, I don’t know; perhaps only 10-15 years, perhaps mid-century 2050 max. At least RKF,Jr. is sounding the alarm loudly now and initiating some serious scientific investigations into the cause(s) of autism while there is still time. Why so tense about an autism registry ? We need a well defined baseline; and we are going get one regardless of any pushback by shortsighted, NIMBY types being offended.

He is going about this the wrong way. #1 - AutismSpeaks is a sham, and most people in the autistic community will tell you they hate AutismSpeaks. AutismSpeaks is the SusanGKomen of autism.

#2 - I never said Early intervention "prevents" autism. Early intervention is considered the key to helping kids develop coping strategies and learn how to integrate in society better.

#3 - You have no idea how many autists are currently in the military. We are already there, and kicking ass. https://mwi.westpoint.edu/an-autistic-soldier-wants-you-to-read-this/

#4 - The registry isn't *my* problem. I even said I could see both the good and the bad. As long as it is voluntary, I don't have any problems with it. One of my problems with it is that the NIH didn't say it would be voluntary. They said they would be collecting information from every source and then using that to make the registry. The other MAJOR issue is patient confidentiality. Can you guarantee that the govt "real world platform" won't get hacked and all of my medical records exposed? Oh, and you do realize that this doesn't just apply to autism, right? Got Diabetes? Your information is in there. Got Arthritis? You're in there. Got a chronic illness? You're in there.

Yes, I'm angry. The way RFK talks about autism, with his doomsday comments, is not representative of the whole. You have to understand, the things I've seen and heard done in the name of curing autism.... I'm talking puberty blockers, chelation, behavioral shock therapy, forced restraint, bleach enemas... and alot of this stuff was pushed by the same ppl RFK is surrounding himself with. I wrote a little about that last time - https://danaloesch.substack.com/p/rfk-jr-and-autism

I don't have much experience with autism and had always felt it HAD to be environment related or...something...right? So I appreciate this detailed write up and now feel better educated about autism in general. Great work as always, Lorraine.

"The more any of them speak, the clearer it becomes that they are not actually looking for answers. They have already decided on the answers; they just want the evidence to prove it." 100% agree!

Oh! I'm at a loss for words. Your frustration rings through the entire piece, and one can readily understand why! This is a tocsin to alert the citizenry to take another look into the autism world as seen and advocated by RFK Jr. I'm certainly convinced and will share your words through the sites where I post. Thank you for this frank piece of writing from your personal perspective, Lorraine.
