Where is the left when we need them to call out Swain for being a bigot?

The eloquent articulation of the truth of the advancement Lawrence Jones on his own merit, on its own, merits praise. But that merit bears witness to its rarity, rather than its normalcy - a sad condition to see. However, what is also revealed is the rare expression of friendship, an example displayed for the world, which the world should adopt. This example warrants a review of CS Lewis remarks on friendship in The Four Loves. It is sad to see the pouty reflex of boycotting a news outlet just because they fired their favorite host, since in so doing they missed this little ray of light. "The light shone in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it." We need more light. Keep shining brightly, Dana. And thank you for doing so.

When I read Dr. Swain’s original comment, I was inclined to give her the benefit of the doubt. I thought that maybe - just maybe - she hadn’t meant to imply that affirmative action caused LJ to get the chance to fill in for Tucker.

Yes, it did seem as if that was the most realistic inference to draw. I still initially cut her some slack, because I’d never seen her as someone primed to default to racialist explanations for every ambiguous situation.

I was waiting - and hoping - for her to respond to you by saying that her initial tweet was poorly phrased, and had created an impression that she hadn’t intended, and that she would follow up with a clarification.

Instead, she doubled down and doubled down again, by insisting that she would apologize if she’d said anything wrong, but of course she hadn’t, wouldn’t retract or modify a thing, and any problems with her meaning were everyone else’s fault.

She reminded me that the one quality I hate the most about politicians and commentators who have reached a certain level of success is a nearly universal inability and unwillingness to ever admit to the slightest possibility that they were wrong in something they said or did.

At some point during their careers, the words “I screwed up” leave their vocabulary.

Lawrence certainly deserves the chance. I’ve always liked his Saturday show. I just hope he’s not being used by the people at Fox. He is a really good person who deserves the best.

I just recently watched Abby Hornasec's interview with Lawrence Jones on her Fox Nation show ''Ride to work''. If anyone deserves the utmost respect for what he does, it is Lawrence Jones. When Fox was trying to fill the 7:00 pm eastern slot, before Jesse Watters got it, Lawrence Jones took his turn filling in, just like he is now for Tucker's slot. I didn't hear any of this racist BS then.....Ms Swain. He is so honest and genuine. Everyone who has watched him, loves him. I don't know who this Swain person is, but she sounds just like a liberal pundit.

Brilliantly put, Dana!

Thus, is the main reason I listen to your show. Brutal honesty. You call a spade a spade. I like that. From what your husband tweets, seems to be the same. He calls out the BS. I hope things don't come to where Americans are fighting each other. Thou, here we are where people under the "Fascism" ANTIFA hurt people and burn cities. This lawlessness from DC down to NYC, Chicago, LA. Flipside you have over strung out LE who don't treat people with respect. Granted they have one of the hardest jobs to deal with the public. Still doesn't give them a free pass for violating people constitutional rights. Some Civility needs to be brought back. Respect for each other. We the People. So many want us to fail. God bless America.

We are in the midst of a societal apocalypse and we “Constitutionalists” can’t help ourselves from verbal self sabotage. Aren’t WE the ones who believe that as the “Omnipotent One” closes doors, he cracks open a window? Instead of seeing/seeking negativity, WE should instead recognize/realize an opportunity! Very disappointed to see Ms. Swain do this. Stay Frothy
