Tulsi Resigns!
While she claims she is leaving due to her husband's cancer diagnosis, there is more to the story.
Tulsi Gabbard announced her resignation today. She said that her husband’s recent cancer diagnosis was the reason she felt she needed to step down.
Despite Tulsi’s attempt to save face, it quickly became known that she had been forced to resign by the White House, which doesn’t surprise anyone following the White House drama. Back in April, when Pam Bondi resigned, it was said that Trump was asking around whether Tulsi should be next.
Tulsi has been in the hot seat since Joe Kent, one of her deputies, was forced out back in March. Kent had been a known leaker, so much so that the FBI was investigating him. DC scuttlebutt said that Tulsi had been told many times to fire him, but she had refused. Kent left the White House screeching about the conflict in Iran. Tulsi had for years publicly said she was not in favor of any war with Iran. After Kent left, Tulsi released a milquetoast statement supporting the President in whatever he decided to do.
After Kent’s departure, Tusli was apparently iced out of many of the decisions that you would expect should have included the Director of National Intelligence. According to The Guardian, she was not part of the decision-making that led to Maduro’s capture or the Iranian conflict.
President Trump announced on Truth Social that Aaron Lukas, the Principal Deputy Director, would step up as interim director to replace Tulsi for the time being. I’m sure it came as a relief to Marco Rubio that he would not be adding yet another job to his resume.

Lorraine and Dana. While I love you both to death and have been a fan since I had hair (well not really since its been 50 years since I had hair) I am more than willing to "call balls and strikes" and say I will take her at her word. Perhaps she does disagree with President Trump on some issues we are not the Borg and must walk in lock step on every issue. I am more than capable of hearing dissenting opinions and use my own discernment to decide if I agree or not. I don't agree with every word Dana speaks but I don't turn her off because I disagree with her. I am sorry that her husband is ill and hope my wife would do the same for me. I wish her the best in the future.
I'm sorry to hear that her husband was diagnosed with the BIG C. May God bless them both.
