It’s late and I’m tired because outlets waited until the last moment possible to call what I saw coming at 9pm central. Trump repeated 2016 and for only the third time in electoral history broke through the Democrats’s famed blue wall taking both Pennslyvania and Wisconsin. Tonight was a mandate. Make no mistake.
In addition to capturing the Senate and keeping the House, the closely-watched (by yours truly, especially as I didn’t want them to become blueprints for the nation) Amendments 3 and 4 failed in Florida. The predominately Hispanic Rio Grande Valley went red.
Harris went to bed and never addressed her supporters. She sent out a man, a campaign co-chair, to tell everyone goodnight. Tim Walz was MIA. Harris was a horrid candidate. I don’t care who you are — she was one of the wort nominees in political history. It was one of the worst-run campaigns by the whole of the Democrat party in political history. Hiding the failing ability of Joe Biden and swapping him out with someone who has all of his failings and none of his actual dementia? Good grief. Calling voters “Hitler,” insulting black voters, portraying women conservatives as battered wives, it was just awful, all of it. Where was the “joy?” The “Live, Laugh, Love” campaign turned into a Jerry Springer fight. The coming Democrat civil war will apocalyptic for the party.
No, it shouldn’t have been this close. It’s a mandate with responsibility. Non majority party voters at the plurality now. Keeping the coalition while gutting big government is the new task.
Yes, Republicans finally learned how to build a proper coalition after all of this time.
No, I don’t know what becomes of Democrats now. That party is gone.
The new GOP has arrived.
There is a lot to dive into tomorrow.
God bless America!🇺🇸
Glorious Win! And now the hard work begins. Put on the armor and stand ready!!
