Trump is NOT Dead & Other News You Missed
Sen. Joni Ernst called it quits, the latest Epstein file drop is a big nothing, ColdPlay's Chris Martin is a massive richard, and much more.
After a whirlwind of interviews and events, President Trump took two days off to relax, golf, and maybe take a nap, all while posting to Truth Social, and the left started a rumor on X that he was dead. Turns out he was busy checking White House security footage to find out who messed up the limestone in the Rose Garden.
Of course, the left continues to claim that Trump must be sick or something, and not up to the task, which is rich coming from the side that covered for Joe Biden’s Brain Mush for four years.
Once it was clear that Trump was alive and well, the left pivoted to calling his foreign policy a failure because photos surfaced of a meeting between Xi, Putin, and India’s Modi.
But those of us who pay attention to these things have to ask, did the left forget what the “I” in BRICS stands for? India teamed up with Brazil, Russia, China, and South Africa 16 years ago under Obama’s administration. Of course, these guys are friends.
In Other News…
Senator Joni Ernst (R-IA) announced that she will NOT be running for re-election in 2026.
Ilhan Omar is worth $30 million, just months after she said that she was not a millionaire. Most of the dramatic 3,500% increase in financial assets seems to come from her husband’s winery and venture capital fund. Data Republican has a great thread exposing Ilhan’s husband, Tim Mynett. Note: this is NOT the ex-husband/brother, this is the guy she was busted having an affair with by his now ex-wife at a time when her campaign was paying his consulting firm big money.
Space Force HQ is moving to Huntsville, Alabama, which is where it was supposed to go five years ago. The Biden Admin kept it in Colorado, despite the military finding that Huntsville was the best strategic location.
Massie is looking for two more Republicans to sign his Epstein Discharge Petition. A discharge petition is a way for congressmen to move a bill to the floor and force a vote even if the committee the bill was assigned to has not acted on it yet. Massie’s bill would force the government to release ALL Epstein files, with only minimal redactions to protect victims, within 30 days after it passed. He even held a presser with several of the Victims to try to convince his fellow GOP to sign on. However, the WH says anyone who signs it is signaling they are against Trump. Given the rumors around Trump and the List, this looks bad, BUT Epstein victims all say Trump was nowhere near Epstein.
Speaker Johnson’s reasoning for killing the Massie bill is that Oversight is already running an investigation and looking to release the documents. Massie says that Oversight is sitting on the documents for far too long and “allowing the DOJ to curate all of the information that the DOJ is giving them.”
Tuesday evening, Comer’s Oversight Committee dropped some 33,000+ documents in an attempt to dissuade House members from signing Massie’s petition. The problem is, Oversight's Epstein release is a big fat nothing. It appears that they took already public documents, saved each page as a separate TIF (a very large image format), and then released that. Why would they do this? Well, releasing each page of each document as a separate TIF file would boost the number and size of "documents" they released, making it seem like they had released more than they have.
I don’t know why they don't just come clean. Tell us Epstein was a CIA operative, and that for reasons of National Security, they can't release more than they already have. That would calm things more than being cagey and playing games with the files.
CBS pulled shenanigans on the Kristi Noem interview.
Six of the German AfD party’s candidates have died within two weeks, just before an election. Law enforcement claims there has been nothing suspicious about any of the deaths, but not everyone is convinced.
Cardi B won against the security guard who sued her for a supposed scratch. Her testimony was hilarious, and a must-see if you like courtroom drama type stuff. Law & Crime has her full testimony, both days, in one video on their YT channel.
Coldplay’s Chris Martin is a huge … jerk. He brought a couple of Israeli fans on stage and completely humiliated them. He said, "I'm so glad you are here as humans, and I'm treating you like equal humans on earth regardless of where you come from,” before he paid the virtue-signal homage of declaring that we need to free Palestine. He’s glad the Jewish girls are humans? As opposed to what?
Florida has ended ALL vaccine mandates for school attendance. FL’s Surgeon General Joseph Ladapo said, "Every last one is wrong and DRIPS with disdain and slavery! Who am I, or anyone else, to tell YOU what you should put in your body? Who am I to tell you what your CHILD should put in their body? I don't have that right. Your body is a gift from God. What you put into your body is because of your relationship with your body and God."
For your liberal friends who are no doubt screaming that the children will die because they ended the mandate, parents are free to vaccinate their kids on whatever schedule they want.
The Faux-sassin is now representing himself in court, and his court filings are … interesting.
This is the guy who sat outside Trump’s Mar-a-Lago golf course for hours waiting for his chance to shoot the then-candidate Trump, only to run without ever taking a shot. Despite how his filings read, he has been found competent to stand trial and represent himself; however, he will not be allowed to access any confidential information. Jury selection starts on September 8. This one should be fun.

Lorraine Yuriar is a wife, mother, and lifelong conservative, currently stuck in a very blue state.

Excellent rundown, Lorraine!
I am of two minds (not spirits!) about the vaccine. On the one hand I think parents should have the right to determine what vaccines their children get. That is my individualist side. However, on the other side I worry that those who are not vaccinated against the traditional childhood illnesses could pass it on to other children so the decision not to vaccinate does not affect just their children.
Of course the argument could be made that if you wish to vaccinate your child then it doesn't really matter if Little Johnny has been or not.
See my predicament?
