This is a crazy game of Clue.
Multiple officials involved in the White House cocaine inquiry now say the bag of powder was found in a cubby near the White House's West Executive entrance, not the formal West Wing lobby as was previously reported.
The location was changed to an area very conveniently not covered well by cameras. This is after the press and White House staff tried spinning the bag as medicinal by calling it “cocaine hydrochloride.”
The expectations are low, very low, that the schneef snuffer will be identified:
Forensic work on the cocaine bag continued on Thursday, though officials are setting low expectations that they will be able to identify the person who left the cocaine …
… "What I wanted to be very clear is that this is a heavily, heavily trafficked, heavily traveled, to be more accurate, area of the campus of the White House," Jean-Pierre told reporters during Wednesday's press conference. "It is where visitors to the West Wing come through.”
Although they were quick to point out over at MSNBC that the bag was found very close to where the Vice-President parks her car.
Biden’s 50-something year-old nepo baby was seen working in the same library where the bag was first reported discovered, too.
The insinuation that a staffer is going to bring a bag of coke into the White House is absurd, mainly because millennials and Gen Z are terrified creatures and this is more something an old Gen-X, almost-boomer drug addict would do. Regardless, the idea that they have no idea who it belongs to is absurd. It doesn’t matter how “trafficked” the area is, the White House is the most guarded, advanced, surveilled place in the nation; even if there wasn’t a specific camera at the specific angle outside the Situation Room, it doesn’t take a fantasy CSI squad to put together an inspo-board of evidence to make a determination.
The adage of the cover up exceeding the severity of the crime is a saying for a reason. We all think it’s Hunter’s bag because a) he has a very recent history and b) White House sources recently spun that Biden keeps his son close because he’s worried about a relapse. A drug addict in the White House doesn’t sound like a security concern, national or otherwise, at all.
*Updated to add — I almost forgot about this piece from The New Yorker:
On May 7, 2013, he was assigned to a Reserve unit at Naval Station Norfolk. He had hoped to work in naval intelligence, but was given a job in a public-affairs unit. In a small, private ceremony at the White House, Hunter was sworn in by his father. Later that month, the night before Hunter’s first weekend of Reserve duty, he stopped at a bar a few blocks from the White House. Outside, Hunter said, he bummed a cigarette from two men who told him that they were from South Africa. He felt “amped up” as he was driving down to Norfolk, and then “incredibly exhausted.” He told me that he called Beau and said, “I don’t know what’s going on.” Beau drove from Delaware to meet Hunter at a hotel near the naval station. “He got me shipshape and drove me into the base,” he said. On his first day, Hunter had a urine sample taken for testing.
He’s scapegoating two men from South Africa as the reason he was discharged from the Navy before his first week of reserve duty — for which he needed not one, but two waivers.
But sure, not Hunter’s cocaine.
Who is Hunters dealer?
Two hundred forty seven years of our government. There has never been a cocain problem in the white house until Joe Bidens coked up cracked out drug infested son Hunter showed up. There must be a corollary here.
