Last night we had an interesting little rally with Tim Walz, where most people either watched in person or online. Some decided to watch via Twitch. For those unaware, Kamala Harris's campaign launched a Twitch account in August in an effort to reach young people and some of the "hardest-to-reach voters” — but it wasn’t just the rally that people got to watch last night, it was also live gameplay of World Of Warcraft (WoW).
I would remark on how poorly-timed doing something like this is amidst a crisis in Florida with hurricane Milton, but despite all of the hype for this event, Walz never came out to actually play the game. Not really a shocker that Democrats lied again about something this engaging, especially after the DNC stunt where they falsely spread rumors about Beyonce making an appearance. They knew this ahead of time though, and kept the chat locked to emojis for the entire event, with some people going public on some accounts even being bots.
Who would've thought that the Left just loves to pretend they're into whatever you're into in order to get a vote, replacing their big reach out to the younger generation with some random streamer. The guy they used to bait viewers is named Preheat, and he plays WoW by his own words, “a lot”, so I guess this is their take on a mix of political commentary and in-game hijinks to keep people entertained. It was unbearable and awkward, I mean the guy said word for word that "GOP is the opposite of POG," that is real news that got published. This is what we're writing about amid a massive hurricane killing people in Florida, without any help from Border Czar Kamala. Is this really the best they can do? Apparently they tried to do better.
The Harris campaign described Preheat as a guy who “specializes in World of Warcraft and writes guides for the video game,” going on to say that he was a “volunteer” for the campaign. I doubt that, heavily, because they have tried over and over to get more recognizable streamers to get political so they can skim some views and maybe get a vote or two.
It leaves a terrible taste in my mouth, like watching a tv show with Subway Surfers playing at the bottom, or some other mind numbing ASMR type of video (don’t look that up). Is this really the kind of content we want to normalize? A constant dopamine rush that just destroys our attention span? This is what they want for our country, because they think the younger generation is really that stupid. Don’t just take my word for it though, take Kamala’s:
This is how desperate they are, and they are showing us all their cards now. For anyone still voting for her, do you really think she cares about you? And if you do, how on earth could you ever prove it?
