The Filibuster is OVER!
After holding the vote open for Cornyn to get there, the Senate has voted 60-40 to end the filibuster.
Just before 9 PM, the Senate began the roll call vote to end the filibuster. Eight Democrats voted with the GOP. While a vote normally takes about 20 minutes, this one had to be held open for close to two hours due to Republican Sen. Cornyn. The Texas Senator had gone home for the weekend to file his Senate candidacy paperwork and got delayed in traffic on his return. He finally made his appearance on the Senate at 10:48 PM to vote YEA, making the final vote 60-40, and ending the filibuster.
The eight Democrats who voted to end the filibuster are: Dick Durbin, Catherine Cortez Masto, John Fetterman, Maggie Hassan, Jeanne Shaheen, Tim Kaine, Jacky Rosen, and the independent senator, Angus King.
Fetterman has been a consistent vote to end this nonsense from the jump. This is yet another reason he has been granted the Hoodie Pass.
To be clear, this vote only ends the filibuster; it does NOT end the shutdown. The Senate is adjourned until 11 AM Monday morning, at which time they will take up amendments to the CR. According to CNN, the deal includes “a new stopgap measure to extend government funding until January and be tied to a larger package to fully fund several key agencies.”
Dana will have more on this on tomorrow’s show. Be sure to join us in the Rumble Chat Room from noon to 3 PM eastern!

Yea, all knew it will happen, but after the elections that they "Dems" wanted to use it to BS voters.
