Selena Gomez Posts Vanity Video Crying Over the Deportation of Violent Criminals
Posts -- then deletes! But the Internet never forgets.
Terrible actress and singer Selena Gomez Insta-posted a vanity video of herself crying about deportations of criminal illegal immigrants and the fan backlash was so severe she deleted it less than 24 hours later.
“All my people are getting attacked,” she cries, with an emoji of the Mexican flag in the corner. Sorry if this has been covered before — but wasn’t she born to a single white mother in Grand Prairie, Texas and her second generation father was a deadbeat and abandoned her? Is the closest she ever got to “her people” at the Four Seasons in Punta Mita? Aren’t Americans, like the victims of criminal illegal aliens, her people?
Forever the victim, Gomez responded to the backlash by sneering: “Apparently it’s not ok to show empathy for people.” Not an apology, but a barb for those who critiqued her attention-seeking video.
By “people” I suppose she means Johan José Martínez-Rangel and Franklin José Peña Ramos, both Venezuelan nationals in their 20s. The pair both had prior records and were in the country illegally. They targeted 12 year-old Jocelyn Nungaray, strangled her to the point of death on a bridge, then dragged her underneath it where they took turns raping her for the next two hours. Her body was discovered in a ditch the next morning.
Rachel Morin was a 37 year-old mother of five who as targeted by an illegal immigrant from El Salvador while out for her morning run. Victor Martinez Hernandez hid in a drainage pipe before ambushing and brutally raping and murdering Morin and leaving her defiled body on the side of the running path.
Another illegal immigrant from Venezuela, José Antonio Ibarra, attacked nursing students Laken Riley while she was out for a run. He tried to rape her but she tried to fight him off and call 9-1-1. This infuriated him and he bashed her head in with a rock, obliterating her skull, before strangling her. Per the indictment, Ibarra’s attack was so violent that her body was described as “seriously disfigured.”
Jamiel Shaw, who I introduced to the Trump campaign in 2015, lost his star athlete high school scholar son, Jamiel Shaw II, when he was murdered just steps from his home by a known illegal immigrant with a violent record.
Cesar Polanco, a longtime illegal immigrant from the Dominican Republic, savagely beat his pregnant wife to death in front of his five year-old son. Judith Guevara was so badly beaten that she had no hope for survival. Even though he was sentenced to life in prison, Polanco was up for parole and was shocked when ICE, under Trump, met him at prison to take him back to the DR.
There are many of these stories. Both Trump and Tom Homan said verbatim that the violent criminals would be the first to be deported.
Gomez apparently considers such monstrous criminals “her people,” per her verbatim statement in her video — and not Rachel Morin, or Laken Riley, or Jamiel Shaw Jr., or Jocelyn Nungaray. By not including the victims of criminals who sneak into the country, Gomez is indicating that she doesn’t consider the hundreds of thousands of missing and exploited children illegally dragged across the border as “her people,” nor does she demonstrate an ounce of empathy for them.
The performer also took major heat from fans a few years ago when she publicly referred to her longtime friend, actress Francia Raisa, as a “girl who gave me a kidney” and claimed that Taylor Swift was her “only friend in the industry.” Her excuse was to say “Sorry I didn’t mention every person I know.”
Ah, see, she’s the real victim because people are criticizing her for her very public, clout-chasing tactlessness, something she chooses to showcase all on her own.
On a separate note — can we please end the tyranny of self-infatuated drama queens gazing at themselves on their phones as they record themselves stage-crying while perfectly centered in tons of natural light?
When AOC did it first she at least tried to make it seem like she was engaging in a futile effort to save kids from Barack Obama’s cages by posing and collapsing in tears next to a parking lot fence.

Dana, I get and support the point. My question is when are they going to pivot to voting, the next census and the long term impact on Congress. Not sure we can deport enough people to thwart that strategy so when and how does that get addressed?
