The SCOTUS Justices dropped their last rulings of the 2024 session on Friday, June 27, and there were some big ones, but none of them made a splash quite like Trump v CASA.

Among the other cases, we got told that the Universal Service Fund fee is legal, Texas is allowed to required adult websites to have an age verification system, SC is allowed to tell Planned Parenthood to pound sand, and parents are allowed to opt their kids out of the “mandatory” queer books in public school.

Trump v CASA comes out of the birthright citizenship case; however, this ruling is not on the case, but the problem of national injunctions from the court. SCOTUS has finally weighed in and laid the smack down on the district courts for exceeding their powers.

This is a wonderful outcome, especially considering that, according to AG Bond, “FIVE of the 94 [federal court] districts were holding 35 of the 40 nationwide injunctions.”
