A woman changing in a Planet Fitness locker room snapped a photo of a man shaving in the sink. A full grown man shaving in the sink, reportedly in full view of a young girl in a towel. The woman who snapped the photo of the man, Patricia Silva of Fairbanks, Alaska, was promptly banned.
Silva posted online:
'I went to planet fitness… Walked in the bathroom, and there stands a MAN shaving… I looked at him, said 'hey' … he looked up… and I said, 'You are a man shaving in the women's bathroom, and I am not OK with that.'
'He replied… 'Well, I'm LGB…'
'Whatever that is… nevertheless, I told him 'You're a MAN and you're invading my space!'
'He wanted to argue to justify why he can be there… I walked away…
'I stepped out of the locker room and loudly asked the front desk, 'Are you aware that there is a MAN shaving in the women's bathroom… I'm not OK with that ⁉️' The two men standing at the desk, put their heads down, and their tails between their legs! As I was walking out the door…at my back, a woman shouts 'it's a girl'… I shouted back 'it's a man!''
Planet Fitness hilariously says it has a "judgment free zone" evidenced by their policy refusal to judge whether or not a bearded 6+ foot-tall man with balls who wants to shave in the women's locker room sink is, in fact, a man. They aren’t in a position to “judge” that, apparently, so he gets full access to the women’s locker room. (Their “judgment free zone” also includes a literal alarm that sounds if you are too loud or make too much noise during your workout.)
In February a man exposed himself to a four year-old at a different gym.
The reaction was swift. Members are canceling memberships and Planet Fitness’s stock plummeted.
The Barney-colored gym has fought with its own customers over this policy for several years, insisting that another member’s discomfort with their accommodation of a self-identified trans member isn’t grounds for “exclusion” — but they absolutely will exclude women who voice their discomfort because only one type of discomfort matters.
That’s the hypocrisy: the comfort of women is most certainly excluded. Planet Fitness virtue signals at pretending to withhold judgment, unless it’s judgment towards the smaller, less physically powerful woman. Their policy is designed to shame women for concern over legitimate statistical realities. This is dangerous.
Women are raised to listen to our gut, our intuition, our instincts concerning dangerous situations. The social conditioning-dulling of women’s senses by threat of penalty, the penalty of being canceled or labeled a bigot, isn’t just abusive, it’s a threat to women’s safety.
I appreciate all the men who stand with women regarding this dangerous practice of trying to erase women and their rights. I am a woman and I’m very angry at how society continues to treat us like we are either a disease or we are invisible! I used to have a Planet Fitness membership, but I canceled it back around 2018. The so called employees would refuse to enforce the policy of not using a cellphone while using the workout equipment. I always left my phone in a secured locker and worked out. I did not want to be distracted from my workout. I would have to wait for someone who was using a particular workout machine, while they messed around on their cellphone. When I complained the employees did nothing. So, I canceled my membership and now have accumulated enough workout equipment to do my own at home. In that photo shown in this article, that is a man! I don’t care if he’s LGB or not. Biologically, he belongs in the men’s locker room. The audacity of planet fitness to ban the woman who took that that. I would sue that stupid company! If there was a young girl in that locker room or bathroom at that time, I would hope the parents sue planet fitness. I’m sorry, I’ve had enough of this BS where a man pretending to be a woman has rights, but a true biological woman has none. Planet fitness deserves to go in the same direction as bud light. I’m done with this nonsense!
Keep the Mace handy ladies.
