Odds and Ends: Trump's Cabinet Takes Shape, What Now For Senate?

Cabinet picks — I’m fine with Marco Rubio as Secretary of State. He’s a hardener against China and Hamas, he’s not pro-money laundering in Ukraine, he argues with people in the hallways, it suits his skill set.

I’m also fine with Elise Stefanik bullying tyrants at the United Nations. Similarly to Rubio, I think this suits her skill set. She’s a moderate Republican on the issues you don’t want Republicans on but it’s not earth shattering or a deal breaker, I mean, she is a New York Republican, after all.

Mike Huckabee as our ambassador to Israel is a good pick. He has foreign policy chops, the demeanor for the diplomacy circuit circus, all-in-all, solid.

I have no idea why Kristi Noem would be head of DHS and not Tom Homan (he’s on with me later this week).
