I’ve posted a bit over at Substack Notes; it’s an easy place to put things that are more difficult to categorize and better as short bites as opposed to longer, stand-alone posts.
Notes is a new space on Substack for us to share links, short posts, quotes, photos, and more. I plan to use it for things that don’t fit in the newsletter like quick hits, work-in-progress, or quick questions. For instance, not all of you are interested Hirohiko Araki’s latest JoJo series set in Hawaii, what new darkwave playlist I’m curating, so those things will fit perfectly as one-offs in Notes. And sometimes short bits on China, or say, debt ceiling negotiations, or the latest media smear won’t merit entire thousand-word posts so fit perfectly as short write-ups that I can post to Notes.
I’ll also include notes of … er, note in the prep emails for subscribers —or if a particular issue develops further, a stand-alone piece.
How To Join
Head to substack.com/notes or find the “Notes” tab in the Substack app. As a subscriber to Chapter and Verse, you’ll automatically see my notes so you won’t need to do anything extra. Feel free to like, reply, or share them around!
You can also share notes of your own: your thoughts, ideas, and interesting quotes from the things we're reading on Substack and beyond.
If you encounter any issues, you can always refer to the Notes FAQ for assistance. Looking forward to seeing you there!
Maybe Dana would be willing to share some advice on her organizational system for screen captures, etc. I don’t know of anyone else who can so readily produce “receipts” by person or topic.
Cool, I hope to share somethings that others can use.
