Muslim Group Advertises "Muslims Only" Event at City-Owned, Taxpayer-Funded Water Park
The same group behind the EPIC City development in Plano is behind this event.
The group behind the controversial EPIC City Muslim development (now called “The Meadow”) is also behind a discriminatory event planned for a Grand Prairie water park this June.
The East Plano Islamic Center (EPIC) is behind the DFW Epic Eid team which advertised a “Muslim-only” event at a city-owned, taxpayer-funded waterpark. Per Title II of the Civil Rights Act, public accommodation laws bar entities that serve the public from discriminating against, or restricting access to individuals based on religion, race, or disability. Municipal-owned properties cannot deny access to one group while maintaining exclusivity for another.
“But they rented it,” say the bots. Irrelevant because it’s still a publicly-owned property and was explicitly advertised as accessible to one religion only. If EPIC didn’t want this level of scrutiny they should’ve organized their event ad a privately-owned waterpark in the DFW area, of which there are many, or not pushed discriminatory ads.
“But Christian groups rent spaces for events all the time,” say the same intellectually-challenged bots. This is a stupid hypothetical argument designed to force you to accept what this Muslim group is doing because probably a Christian group did it maybe, too. Except there is no record of a Christian group renting a publicly-owned facility for an event and then literally, verbatim pushing “CHRISTIANS ONLY” in all of their advertising in the exact same way that EPIC wrote “MUSLIMS ONLY” all over their ads. This was problematic and they knew it, which is why they tried to surreptitiously remove it after the fact::
"... the organizer of the event, Aminah Knight, told The Post that she is backtracking on how she is advertising it ... Knight told The Post that she did not mean to exclude non-Muslims in organizing the event."
Oh, so she "accidentally" loaded all of the advertising with repeated "Muslims only" verbatim verbiage? Please.

You're right, Dana; publicly funded, should be open to all regardless of religion. Not that I celebrate Eid, I'm a born-again Christian; who is tired of my TX tax dollars excluding me! Co-exist my behind!😡
I heard you cover this on the show today. Step by step… and soon it will too late and Christians will be hiding in their basements to worship.
