Meet Hunter Biden's Jury
Several jury members are either pro-gun or have some experience with addiction in their families.
During jury selection for the recent Trump Trial, the media put out such detailed bios before they left the courtroom, and one potential juror asked to be excused because her friends and family had figured out who she was before she even got home that night.
For Hunter Biden’s trial, however, all most of the media will say is that a jury was seated, and maybe a blurb about a number of them having a background with addiction. In fact, media coverage of the First Son’s first criminal trial has been sparse. Believe it or not, the best sources of information have been CNN and NBC. But even with that, only NBC posted any information about the potential jurors. Based on their reporting, we know that the jurors who made it through the voir dire process and are now part of the official jury are: Jurors 3, 5, 16, 19, 20, 26, 31, 33, 34, 37, 38, 39. Alternates are: 50, 52, 53, 65.”
Juror 3 watches CBS Evening News every night as her only regular source of news. She has a sister who struggled with drugs but is “currently clean.” She said her history with her sister would not affect her ability to be impartial and faced no objections from either party.
Juror 5 used to work for the Secret Service in DC, as did her husband.
Juror 16 gets her news from YouTube and hasn’t really heard about the case. She also said that while her mother owned a gun, she has no experience with the process of purchasing a firearm.
Juror 19 thinks that people who smoke marijuana should be allowed to own guns. “Weed to me isn’t as bad as other drugs,” she said, giving heroin as an example.
Juror 20 is a recent graduate who believes federal law enforcement has been affected by politics. He referred to the civil rights movement, but made it clear that he was talking more historically than the present case. He said he could "absolutely" put those beliefs aside in this case. In the past, he caught a DUI and pled guilty, but said that did not give him a negative opinion of law enforcement.
Juror 26 is a middle-aged Black man who owns several firearms and has a CCP in both Delaware and Florida. "I believe our Second Amendment is very important," he said.
Juror 31 is a younger male whose father "owns a few" firearms.
Juror 33 lost his father to “a gun crime” in 2004. He also has a brother who was arrested for possession and served a year in jail. He took a few law classes once, but did not continue his law education beyond that.
Juror 34 is described as “a middle-aged, nonwhite woman.” She recognized Hunter’s name, but that was about all she knew of the case. She currently owns a firearm and went through the process of purchasing the weapon in a different state. She also has previous jury experience.
Juror 37 said he didn’t know anything about the case until this past weekend. He had mentioned to his brother that he had jury duty in Wilmington, and his brother said it might be for this case. “I learned more today,” he said. He has multiple family members who own guns and a few others, now deceased, who were alcoholics.
Juror 38 said her family hunts and owns rifles, but she doesn’t have any guns. She lost her childhood best friend to a heroin overdose, but claimed that would not affect her ability to evaluate evidence of Hunter Biden’s addiction.
Juror 39 has an older brother who was addicted to PCP and heroin. According to the NBC reporter, “his answers made it sound like the two were not close, and he said he didn't know if his brother was still an addict.” He doesn’t think people who are addicted to drugs should own guns.
Alternates
Juror 50 heard about the case a while ago. She has a brother who is a retired cop. She also has previous jury experience, having served multiple times, including on a police discrimination case and a drunken driving civil suit.
Juror 52 is an administrative specialist and “a mother with school-age kids.” She only knows what she has seen pop up on the internet about the case, but hasn’t really read about it in detail. She gets her news from Facebook and a local news site, but thinks most of it is “very depressing.” She said the laws governing who can own guns "should be more strict" because of mass shootings at schools.
Juror 53 only had "basic knowledge" of the case as a resident of Delaware. She gets her news from her dad and Twitter, aka X. She had no idea the case was going to trial today until her father called her as she was driving to the courthouse.
Juror 65 previously donated to Obama but said Hunter’s father’s role as Obama’s VP would not affect her impartiality.
That is Hunter’s jury. Six men, six women, and all four alternates are women. Several are pro-gun or have some experience with addiction in their families.
The trial starts on Tuesday with opening arguments. Delaware doesn’t allow reporters to use laptops or phones in the courtroom, so it may be harder to follow this case as there won’t be anyone live tweeting from the courtroom.

The jury is just like him. All have drug problems dui misfits. It's all designed for sympathy and a acquittal. Trump wasn't so fortunate his jury was specifically picked for a conviction. This is America today.
Thorough reporting on this jury, leaving each of us to analyze for ourselves. Well done, Loraine!
