Looks Like Harris Has Picked a VP

A spokesperson for Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro, who is among those being vetted as Harris' potential running mate, confirmed the governor has canceled fundraisers in the Hamptons this weekend that were originally scheduled to raise money for his PAC.

I said last week that Shapiro was Harris’s best bet — a governor with a sort-of moderate record (even if in reality he’s very left-leaning, he knows how to moderate if only for elections).

It will infuriate Dearbornistans who’ve been up in arms over Israel defending itself against Hamas, Hezbollah, and their terror pimp Iran; Shapiro is, after all, Jewish, and Democrats stand accused of having alienated Jewish voters due to the Biden administration’s milquetoast support for Israel’s right of self defense and demands for “ceasefire.”

The pick also helps sway swing state Pennsylvania towards Democrats who see Harris locked in a virtual tie with Trump when factoring in margin of error.

We’ll see when the announcement comes, but clearing the calendar, especially when it’s full of fundraising, is a safe bet and will likely give Harris a decent bump in the polls.
