Stormy Trial week 2, Jack Smith may be in hot water in Florida, and another Congressman indicted on bribery charges.
Hunter Biden Legal Troubles
There is not much movement in the legal cases as we wait for appeals courts to shut down his “muh plea deal!” arguments. However, Afroman recently released a parody of his own song, “Because I Got High,” and hopes to be able to perform it at Trump rallies in the future.

On May 1st, Trump was given 14 days to file his appeal. Considering most of his New York legal team is wrapped up in the Stormy Daniels’s trial, this could be difficult.
Indictment 1: The Stormy Daniels Case
To start the short week in court, Judge Merchan found Trump had violated the gag order nine times and fined him $1000 for each Truth Social post.
On Thursday, when the prosecution entered four new gag order violations, the defense presented the judge with over 500 pages of evidence showing Michael Cohen’s and Stormy Daniels’s attacks on Trump. They pointed out that Cohen has been going live on TikTok nightly, making money from donations to talk smack about Trump. The judge has not yet ruled on these potential violations, but Trump has already paid the first $9000 fine.
First Republic Bank executive Gary Farro resumed his testimony. He told the court that Michael Cohen came in to open an account for a new real estate business, Essential Consultants, LLC. Gary had no clue that Cohen was really using the LLC as a pass-thru to pay off Stormy. Cohen had the bank transfer $131,000 out of his Home Equity line of credit into the new company. Then, the next day, he wired $130,000 to Stormy’s lawyer, claiming it was a retainer. On cross, Farro makes it clear that not once during this exchange did Cohen mention the Trump Org—also, nothing about the transactions raised any red flags at the bank.
The next witness was C-Span Executive Director of Archives, Dr. Robert Browning. His only purpose was to bring in clips from various Trump speeches denying he knew Stormy and Karen and calling Cohen a friend.
Then Phillip Thompson from Esquire Deposition Solutions was brought in to verify the relevant portions of Trump’s deposition in the E. Jean Carroll cases.
Keith Davidson, the lawyer for Karen McDougal and Stormy Daniels, took the stand, and this is where things got a bit spicy. It turns out, this is the lawyer that the National Enquirer considered “a good source,” though he denies knowing they thought that about him. In the course of negotiating with AMI’s editor Howard, Davidson at one point told Howard to hurry up and cut the deal with Karen because, “The girl is getting cornered by the estrogen mafia.” After the deal was done, Howard and Davidson had a text exchange in which Davidson said he would stroke Cohen’s ego to calm him down, and Howard called Cohen “hopeless.”
