Letitia doesn't like Trump's Bond company, old news rears an ugly head in the Stormy case, Judge Canon shades Jack Smith, and Gold Bars Bob doesn't want you to know how good he lives.
Business Fraud Case
Trump got Knight Specialty Insurance Company to put up the funds to cover the $175,000,000 bond. However, the California company did not initially file all the proper paperwork required by the state of NY. Because of that, AG Letitia James’s office filed an Exception notice, raising the issue with the bond filing and requesting a hearing to determine if the court will accept it. Judge Engoron has set the hearing for April 22.
Indictment 1: The Stormy Daniels Case
Old news about Judge Merchan’s daughter’s ties to Adam Schiff was dragged up by Laura Loomer. Loren Merchan is a democratic political consultant with Authentic and has worked on Adam Schiff’s campaign, among others. Loomer then bragged when her reporting was cited in a new attempt to get the judge to recuse himself. It almost feels like Ms. Loomer might be getting oppo fed to her from the Trump camp. Keep in mind, this is the same woman who said that Nikki Haley was controlling the weather to win the Iowa caucus in which she placed third.
It was almost a year ago when Trump asked the judge to recuse himself the first based on his daughter’s career as a political consultant for the Democrat party. At that point, the Judge went to the NY Bar Ethics Panel to get guidance and was told that his daughter’s job had no bearing on his ability to do his job. Regardless, Trump has filed a second request for recusal.
With all the hubbub surrounding the Judge’s daughter and new information about the judge’s wife’s time in Letitia James’s office coming to light, Judge Merchan expanded the gag order to include family members of the court and staff.
