Honestly, I had never heard of Joe Kent until he decided to treat the administration like an airport and announce his departure.
Ironically, he points out in his resignation letter that Trump ended the “never-ending war” with ISIS by eliminating their leadership and decimating their ranks. Yet here we are, only 18 days into Operation Epic Fury, with Iranian leadership in hiding or dead, and Kent throws in the towel, intimating that this is another “never-ending war” despite Trump’s assurances that we are there to cripple the regime only, it will be up to the people to take back their country and fix it.
He then makes the claim that Israel is the driving force behind this conflict. However, President Trump has said that he pushed Bibi into this action, not the other way around.
Yes, it does seem to be us and Israel against Iran, but that isn’t really all that surprising. Honestly, with Europe both captured by and capitulating to Islam, Israel is one of the few allies we have left that we can actually trust to have our back. Iran has been killing us, either directly or via proxies, since the Islamic Regime took over in ‘79. There is even evidence that Iran was supporting Al-Qaeda at the time of the 9/11 attacks. “Death to America” isn’t just a fun little rallying cry; it’s a mission statement from the Iranian Regime. There have been multiple Iranian presidential assassination plots foiled, including one that got convicted earlier this month. Just a few days ago, Iranian security official Ali Larijani, who was assassinated on Tuesday, had made threats toward Trump’s life.
Make no mistake, we are winning this operation. Space Force, arguably Trump’s biggest contribution to military readiness, has played a massive role in the success against Iran. From blinding enemy anti-aircraft batteries, warning targets of incoming enemy fire, to tracking and “painting” targets whenever the IRGC fires off another missile, Space Force is kicking rear in ways no one could have imagined six years ago. The rest of our forces, combined with the help we’ve gotten from Israel, have decimated Iran’s ability to launch strikes. The launches from Iran, both missiles and drones, have dropped by almost 92%, and their defense industrial complex has been practically destroyed.
Reza Pahlavi, the former Crown Prince of Iran who is currently living in exile in the US, has called for his followers to prepare for the coming final battle when the people of Iran will be called on to rise up and overthrow the remnants of the Islamic Regime that has been holding them captive for 47 years. He has announced the formation of the Committee for Drafting for Transitional Justice Regulations meant to help find justice for the victims of the Regime while transitioning to a democracy. He’s also laid out his economic goals for the transition period. None of that sounds like a “never-ending war” with no plan for a way to end the hostilities.
So who is Joe Kent? The former Director of the National Counterterrorism Center is a veteran with 11 tours, mostly in Iraq, under his belt. After he retired from the military, Kent moved to the CIA, until his first wife’s death at the hands of an ISIS suicide bomber in January 2019. The couple had two very young children at the time. Shortly after her death, Kent became a staunch non-interventionist. He began writing columns for multiple media outlets, including Steve Bannon’s (at the time) Breitbart News, where he spoke out against the war on terror.
Since Kent announced his run for office in 2021, he has surrounded himself with what amounts to a who’s who list of the Woke Reich. Kent is buddies with Bannon, Tucker, MTG, Gaetz, and others. He caught flak for talking to Nick Fuentes during his campaign and was forced to disavow. So, to win the Groypers back, he appeared on a podcast called American Virtue, hosted by David Carlson (no known relation), who was also a white nationalist with ties to the Bull Moose Project and the Heritage Foundation. He’s been known to pal around with the Proud Boys and the Three Percenters. He did an interview with Greyson Arnold, a white nationalist Fuentes fanboy.
In 2024, Kent appeared on Tucker’s show and said that war with Iran would be long, drawn-out, and bloody, and that Iranians would rally around their leader. (Seems the opposite is currently happening.) Since pulling this stunt, he’s gotten accolades from the likes of Carrie Prejean Boller, Megyn Kelly, and Candace Owens. His good friend Tucker is defending him. He’s also been invited to the Catholic Prayer For America event hosted by Catholics For Catholics.
But more than Kent’s sketchy friends, he was known to be a leaker in DC. Brenden Dilley, a podcaster and memester, declared that he knew Kent was the source of many leaks since August. Fox News Senior White House Correspondent Jaqui Heinrich said that Kent had been frozen out of intelligence briefings months ago. Former Deputy White House Chief of Staff Taylor Budowich posted to X that Kent spent most of his time trying to undermine Trump.
Buzz Patterson, a columnist at RedState, said that Kent isn’t really resigning; he was forced out after it was discovered that he was leaking intel. As X user Cruadin pointed out:
“His stated reason that after THREE WEEKS of 'reflection' his deeply held principles couldn't support any military action against the world's foremost sponsor of terror for the last 46 years seems ... a bit hard to swallow.
The fact he blames the joos for tricking us into war out of the clear blue sky just ices the cake.”
As Gerard Filitti writes over at Times of Israel, Joe Kent didn’t find his conscience. He found his audience.

Great analysis. Maryam Rajavi, Head of Iranian Resistance has support with the people of Iran who could very possibly rise to assume government control in Iran.
