As I discussed on air today, I’m concerned about the leaks coming out of the Pentagon and believe it’s a bureaucratic response to undermine SecDef Pete Hegseth. I like Hegseth. You serve the position, not the person, the realm, not the ruler, and regardless your opinion of Hegseth, leaking as a way to undermine the Secretary because you disagree with POTUS’s pick is antithetical to how we’re supposed to do things in this country.
Conspiracy theorists with axes to grind began circulating a rumor that Florida Governor Ron DeSantis had pitched himself for Sec Def and has been lobbying to oust Hegseth. I can say with a million percent confidence, due to the people with whom I spoke, that this is an absolute lie.
I’m not even sure why anyone is pitching it, other than for the purpose of creating chaos.
I do know that Trump and DeSantis buried their primary beef some time ago (the grifters in POTUS’s orbit apparently don’t respect him enough to follow his lead here in unity) and have repeatedly played golf together at Mar-a-Lago.
I also know that Trump liked DeSantis as a potential Sec Def long before Hegseth was installed in the role, but that DeSantis preferred to say on as Governor. (Now that we’ve seen the RINO fight, it’s clear now why he stayed.)
Trump isn’t firing his Secretary of Defense any more than he’s firing Elon Musk. Be suspicious of these weird stories and the chaos agents who pollute discussion by promoting them.
How come the sources when the dems want to remove someone are "unnamed" or "anonymous" ? Because the person(s) releasing the information often times is making things up or they know that someone is LEAKING as a form of revenge and retaliation. I wonder how many times the unnamed sources are people who want POTUS Trump to fail as POTUS.
Garbage media just have to take a dirty diaper like a bone, and try to make it a "Gotya" thing with the Trump admin.
