FBI Raids John Bolton's home
They were supposedly looking for classified documents in the former National Security Advisor's home.
The FBI raided the home of former National Security Advisor John Bolton this morning. A law enforcement source told NBC that they were looking for classified material. The media has tied this to Bolton’s 2020 book, The Room Where It Happened. Those who remember the first Trump admin may remember that Bolton was an advisor to Trump, until they had a falling out in 2019. When Bolton announced his book, the Trump administration did everything they could, including suing to stop the publication. However, when Biden took over, Merrick Garland directed the DOJ to drop the case. It appears that the Trump administration has reopened the investigation.
President Trump has frequently criticized Bolton in the past, often calling him a “nutjob,” but when asked about the raid this morning, Trump said he had no idea that it was happening. VP JD Vance also said that Bolton was not targeted for political reasons. “If we were trying to do that, we would be just throwing out prosecutions willy-nilly like the Biden administration DOJ did, prosecutions that later got thrown out of court.”
DataRepublican has a great thread on X detailing all the ways Bolton was involved with USAID in the ‘80s, and never saw a war he didn’t like. She concludes:
Bolton's tenure was defined by constant clashes, and his grievance is obvious: he didn't get to unleash the wars he wanted. He retaliated by spilling classified national security secrets for profit. Few officials in modern times have pushed harder for more death abroad; Bolton may go down as one of the deadliest men never to have his finger on the trigger.

Big news happens when Dana takes a day off LOL. I notice there was no SWAT and George Conway just happened to be there.
Well they didn't show up in the middle of the night with automatic weapons.
