🚨 Chris Christie Drops Out of Primary

After days of denying the rumors, he's gone.

Just 24 hours after calling Gov. Sununu a liar for suggesting it, Chris Christie took the stage in Windham, NH, to announce he was suspending his campaign. He spent the majority of his speech attacking Donald Trump, likening Trump to Voldemort, and claiming everyone else on the stage is scared to confront him.

Prior to his speech, Christie was caught on a hot mic discussing Nikki Haley’s chances.

"People don't want to hear it, Wayne. We know we're right; we couldn't be any clearer,” Christie is heard saying. After some comments from the others talking to him, he said Haley spent $68 million on TV ad buys alone, DeSantis spent $59 million, and he spent $12 million, “so who's punching above their weight and who's gonna get a return on their investment? And she's gonna get smoked. You and I both know it. She’s not up to this.”

Just yesterday, at an event in NH, Christie said that Nikki was not trying to beat Trump. According to the AP, he said:

“Let’s say I dropped out of the race right now and I supported Nikki Haley. And then three months from now, four months from now, when you’re ready to go to the convention, she comes out as his vice president. What will I look like? What will all the people who supported her at my behest look like?”

Christie repeated that he will remain in the race as long as he sees a path to the nomination, and that he won’t make an endorsement based on politics like he did when he backed Trump eight years ago.

“I’m not going to make the same mistake again,” he said. “Can’t do it.”

Based on that statement yesterday and his speech today, it sounds like he will not be endorsing anyone.
