Charlie Kirk's Assassin Has Been Caught
We can all rest a little easier now, but let's not forget the lessons Charlie taught us.
After 33 hours of confusion, public speculation, internet vigilante squads, and good behind-the-scenes police work, the Charlie Kirk assassin has been captured.
Because so many different names and photos were floating around social media, I will say his name and show his photo ONCE. Tyler Robinson.
According to a high school friend, the shooter was a leftist in a family of conservatives. People who knew the shooter say he was a great kid, an excellent student, but a little shy and withdrawn. He then received a scholarship to Utah State to study engineering in 2021 but dropped out after a semester. Instead, he moved out of his parents’ home and was in his third year at Dixie Technical College as an Electrical apprentice. Neighbors who knew him from his apartment with his roommate say he barely spoke to anyone and seemed off. He was registered as an unaffiliated voter. Family and friends said he had become increasingly political in recent months. At a recent family dinner, relatives say he spoke about how much he hated Charlie and his upcoming UVU visit.
