Britain's Betrayal
Cowardly NATO members will be NATO's undoing.
One of the most common refrains from those who knowingly or unknowingly promote multipolarity is one admonishing the United States for going at Iran seemingly alone. “The U.S. didn’t consult its allies,” say those eager to pin all of NATO’s issues solely on the United States.
Except that isn’t at all true.
The United States did consult with NATO allies. The U.K., France, and Spain all declined to help. France refused use of its airspace. So did Spain. Only Italy agreed to help and the only wrinkle was protocol in requesting use of Sicilian airbases.
