**UPDATED** - WI School Shooting
Three dead, six wounded at Abundant Life Christian School in Madison, WI.

At about 2:30 pm Wisconsin time, officials held another briefing about the shooting at Abundant Life Christian School in Madison, releasing more information. We now know that the shooter was a teenage student at the school who used a firearm only identified as a “handgun” by Chief Barnes. The shooter was dead when police arrived, and no officers fired a weapon. Police are not releasing any more identifying information about the shooter or the weapon at this time.
The two deceased victims are a teacher and another teenage student. Six others were injured. Two students are in critical condition, and four other students are in the area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
There was no resource officer at the school.
The mayor is urging anyone who needs mental health support to reach out to 988.

Officers responded to reports of a shooting at Abundant Life Christian School, a private school in Madison, WI, at about 10:57 am this morning. According to Madison Police Chief Shon Barnes, officers found several people suffering gunshot wounds. They also found a juvenile believed to be responsible already deceased.
Seven people were transported to the local hospital with varying degrees of injury. Three were found deceased on the scene, including the shooter. During the press briefing, it was learned that two of the transported had died at the hospital, bringing the total to five dead and five wounded.
No further details have been released at this time. Police are withholding details about the dead and wounded pending family notifications. The next briefing will be about 2:30 pm local time.
